{"id":1763,"date":"2021-09-16T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eodatahub.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/16\/landsat-collection-2-u-s-analysis-ready-data-now-available\/"},"modified":"2021-09-16T14:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-09-16T14:00:00","slug":"landsat-collection-2-u-s-analysis-ready-data-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eodatahub.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/16\/landsat-collection-2-u-s-analysis-ready-data-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Landsat Collection 2 U.S. Analysis Ready Data Now Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>C2 ARD are tiled, georegistered, top of atmosphere, and atmospherically corrected products defined in a common projection that make the Landsat archive more accessible, easier to analyze, and reduce the amount of time users spend on data processing for time-series analysis.\u00a0 Landsat C2 Level-1 data that are processed into Albers-projected Level-2 Surface Reflectance and Surface Temperature products serve as inputs for generating Landsat C2 ARD, for the conterminous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgs.gov\/media\/images\/landsat-collection-2-us-ard-graphic\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During Landsat C2 Level-1 processing in 2020, several data improvements were made, including: \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Better geometric accuracy that allows more Tier 1 scenes. In turn, the number of C2 U.S. ARD tiles has increased \u00a0<br \/>\nThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgs.gov\/media\/images\/alaska-landsat-collection-2-analysis-ready-data-tile-grid\">Alaska ARD tile grid<\/a> has been modified for C2, as it now includes the Aleutian Islands. (No changes have been made to the CONUS and Hawaii tile grids)<\/p>\n<p>Like C2 Level-1 and Level-2 data products, C2 ARD are\u00a0stored in Cloud Optimized Georeferenced Tagged Image File Format (COG) and distributed from a commercial cloud environment, via <a href=\"https:\/\/earthexplorer.usgs.gov\/\">EarthExplorer<\/a>.\u00a0Landsat Collection 2 ARD can also be accessed from the\u00a0Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.\u00a0\u00a0Visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgs.gov\/core-science-systems\/nli\/landsat\/landsat-commercial-cloud-data-access\">Landsat Commercial Cloud Data Access<\/a>\u00a0page for more information.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgs.gov\/core-science-systems\/nli\/landsat\/landsat-collection-2-us-analysis-ready-data\">Landsat C2 U.S. ARD<\/a> to learn more about product contents and data access.
