The New Space Economy Congress<\/strong> in Barcelona brought together global leaders and key stakeholders from across the space sector. With over 800 registered attendees<\/strong> and representation from 18 nationalities<\/strong>, this year\u2019s edition proved to be a pivotal moment for advancing space-related innovation and collaboration in Europe.<\/p>\n

Among the standout highlights of the event, Ms. Roya Ayazi<\/strong>, Secretary General of NEREUS<\/strong> (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies) was invited by Catalonia <\/strong>(NEREUS Full Member<\/a>) to participate in the highly anticipated panel discussion, \u201cSpace as a Catalyst for Regional Cooperation.\u201d<\/em> Ms. Ayazi\u2019s contributions, alongside other esteemed panelists, have positioned NEREUS<\/strong>\u00a0 as pivotal in shaping the future of Europe\u2019s space endeavors: she emphasized how NEREUS<\/strong> empowers regions to shape European space policies and integrate space technologies into local economies, highlighting three critical areas:<\/p>\n

Building Regional Space Ecosystems<\/strong>: Supporting regions to develop tailored space strategies and enhance their local space industries.
\nReaching New Communities<\/strong>: Connecting space with non-space sectors to promote new areas of innovation and regional growth.
\nFacilitating Interregional Exchange<\/strong>: Fostering collaboration across regions to share best practices and leverage space solutions for economic development.<\/p>\n
