NEREUS organised the webinar: Session III: Info Session on the Proposed EU Space Package (EU Space Act and Vision for a European Space Economy)<\/strong>, as part of its series of online events on the proposed EU Space Package on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30h<\/strong>. The session brought together a wide range of participants from European institutions, regional authorities, industry, and academia.<\/p>\n

The session provided an in-depth update on the state of play of the EU Space Package negotiations, focusing on political priorities, key areas of debate, and the broader vision for a European space economy. Contributions came from key institutional and stakeholder representatives:<\/p>\n

Fran\u00e7ois Kalfon<\/strong> (Member of the European Parliament, IMCO Committee) shared the European Parliament\u2019s perspective, outlining his political priorities as rapporteur for the opinion of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) and providing first-hand insights into the ongoing negotiations, shortly after the committee\u2019s report adoption.<\/p>\n
