Join us for the next event in our Security Briefing & Networking Series
Booking is now open for our upcoming quarterly event, sponsored by DHL Supply Chain.
This is a must-attend for professionals involved in, or with an interest in, security, networking, and business development. The event will bring together representatives from across government departments and industry, ranging from primes to SMEs.
Please note, this is a full-day, in-person event. Lunch and refreshments will be provided by the sponsor.
These events are designed to be a key networking opportunity, with the wrap-around of critical security briefings.
Attendees at the event will hear from:
ADS – Colleagues from our Membership Team will provide an overview of ADS membership, including benefits you may not yet be aware of. In addition, Government Security Services will outline the support, guidance and assistance available to ADS members in relation to government security.

National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) – NPSA are the protective security arm wing of MI5 – The Security Services, and one part of the UK’s National Technical Authorities. At this event, NPSA will be providing a security briefing on the threat overseas from hostile state actors. This briefing is very important for anyone travelling overseas, not just for business, but for personal travel too.
UK National Authority for Counter-Eavesdropping (UKNACE) – UKNACE are another part of the UK National Technical Authorities and specialise in technical security measures. They provide advice and guidance around Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TCSM) and much more through operational deployment, policy and advice, and identifying and countering the latest threats.
Commercial X – Commercial X was a programme set up by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in 2022. Its mission is to get ground-breaking technologies and innovation into the Ministry of Defence’s hands, faster. It does this with:
- A team of commercial officers experienced in procuring innovation and digital solutions; they work directly with frontline teams to deliver contracts up to £50 million and under 2 years at pace
- A team of business change specialists who trial improvements to commercial processes that can help speed up procurements and reduce barriers to entry for small businesses
- A specialist skills development programme that aims to build the commercial officer of the future, by upskilling them in contracting for projects where the end deliverables evolve or are unknown.
National Armaments Director Group – The Defence Industry WARP exists as a single point of contact for all of industry in respect of security incidents which pose a risk to Ministry of Defence (MOD) assets or data. In addition, the Defence Industry WARP promulgates Computer Vulnerability Directives, which provide mandated actions to take in relation to systems which process MOD data, or which are connected to MOD networks. They will be presenting on all the current factors, figures and trends of threats and problems across defence industry.
Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) – Accelerate innovation, investment, and productivity through world-class science, ensure that new and existing technologies are safely developed and deployed across the UK and drive forward a modern digital government for the benefit of its citizens. DSIT will be presenting from their newly created National Security & Defence arm about the working they are undertaking and are looking to undertake in these spaces.
