Career Returners Programme for Aerospace SMEs
Introducing a new cross-sector programme aimed at introducing SMEs to a hidden talent opportunity whilst supporting career returners back into the workforce. Not only will it enable SMEs to access experienced engineering talent it will also improve their diversity & inclusion measures.
ADS is partnering with Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Consultancy STEM Returners, skills charity Enginuity, and the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT) on the new initative.
In this webinar we will outline more about the scheme and timeframe, and hear from a current career returner and host company.
Supporting this programme will benefit employers in the following ways:
Target a talent pool of highly qualified and experienced candidates
Demonstrate your commitment to achieving diversity and equality
Participate in a campaign that offers an innovative response to an identified industry wide problem
Why STEM Returners?
STEM Returners help employers recruit, develop, and retain the best available talent, enabling highly qualified and experienced STEM professionals to re-start their career or transfer their skills. They have helped over 450 STEM Professionals return to work:

46% are women
34% are from minority ethnic groups
They already work successfully with many of our larger members including Leonardo, Rolls-Royce, Reaction Engines and BAE Systems.
Linda McVey, Skills and Capability Director, Government Affairs at Leonardo says, “Great to see ADS getting behind this initiative. Leonardo has run the programme with great success for a few years and support any measures to encourage and enable people back into STEM roles”.
