The EU Global Action on Space is set to host a two-day event in Kralendijk, Bonaire, focusing on opportunities for collaboration between the EU Space Programme and the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Region. Scheduled for April 4 and 5, 2024, this event aims to introduce the potential advantages of the EU Space Programme, particularly in areas such as environmental protection, waterborne transport, and emergency response.
The primary objective of this event is to underscore the significance of cooperation between the EU and the LAC region in the field of space exploration. It will also highlight the benefits of utilizing European space data for local communities.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing online participants to access presentations and live demonstrations. Attendees will include local stakeholders from Bonaire, as well as public and private representatives from across the wider LAC region. The event seeks to facilitate meaningful discussions and networking opportunities among institutional and industry stakeholders from both the EU and LAC ecosystems.
