About us

ADS has teamed up with Audere Partners, Acquire & Integrate (A&I) and Momentum Corporate Finance to deliver this workshop, to support members who want to achieve a sale or investment within the next five years.

Between them, Audere and A&I, have experience of growth, sale, acquisition and integration of businesses as diverse as manufacturers, through service companies, to consultancies and people-based organisations. As a corporate finance house, Momentum have a long track record of achieving impressive results for a wide range of businesses in a range of markets including Defence & Security. The team delivering the workshop have all succeeded in the aerospace, defence and security markets for over 30 years.

Tom Samuel:
Tom has a 25-year track record in growing profit and value in consulting businesses. He founded the transformation and operational consultancy Harmonic, establishing a strong profitable business through organic growth with blue-chip clients and UK government. He led its sale in 2021 and the subsequent transition into a US multinational. This journey covered start-up, through organic growth and acceleration, to major board-level change and then rapid value creation.

He has covered all aspects of running and advising consultancies and has specialisms in growth (strategic account development and major deals) and breakthrough performance (shifting a medium sized business to the next stage).

Brian Stringer: 
Brian Stringer has 25 years’ experience at Board level within a range of industries covering capital goods, FMCG, industrial products & services. An experienced yet adaptable leader with a proven track record in corporate, Plc and Private Equity businesses, driving growth and shareholder value. Covering a range of global businesses, including Survitec, Doncasters & Siemens, adept at large and small acquisitions, plus experience selling multi-million turnover companies in the PE arena. His last executive position was CEO of Survitec the circa £420m turnover global leader in survival solutions.

Alastair Boorman:
Ali joined Momentum when it was founded in 2005, having spent time with EY and PwC. He became a partner in 2010 and has over 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, advising on an extensive range of transactions, including within the technology, cyber security, engineering and business services sectors.

Cyril Stocker: 
Cyril Stocker has 20 years experience at Board level within a range of industries including defence, aerospace, ship building, capital machinery, automotive, marine, as well as industrial products and services. A seasoned businessman with a wealth of operational and commercial experience, a skilled engineer and exceptional project executioner. Over 20 large and small acquisitions completed, integrated and synergies delivered over the last decade. His last position was COO of Survitec the circa £420m turnover global leader in survival solutions.
