Lithuania Market Insight
Lithuania plans to significantly increase its defence and security investment, aiming to raise defence spending to over 5% of GDP between 2026 and 2030. This increased funding will accelerate the acquisition of military equipment and weaponry, enhancing the country’s deterrence and operational capabilities. To support this expansion, the government is introducing ‘green corridor’ initiatives to streamline procurement processes, attract international partners, and boost local industrial participation. As part of this effort, Lithuania is actively seeking international defence industry cooperation to strengthen its domestic defence base, facilitate technology transfer, and promote joint development and manufacturing initiatives.
