Security and Defence Trade Mission to Switzerland 2026
ADS, working in partnership with the British Embassy in Berne and the Department for Business and Trade, are pleased to be organising a defence and security trade mission to Berne, Switzerland. This mission will develop the PSE format to include defence capabilities.
The event will showcase UK security and defence capabilities, including high-tech and innovative solutions linked to the defence, security and aerospace sectors and cyber security solutions but will also be open to capabilities in other domains with specific interest in the Swiss market.
Switzerland, which remains outside NATO and the EU, currently allocates about 0.7% of its gross domestic product to defence spending. Plans are in place to gradually increase this share to 1% by 2032, with 13 billion earmarked for defence material investments in the years 2024-2031. This trade mission will be a unique opportunity as Switzerland does not traditionally host defence and security conferences or fairs. With this event, UK companies are given the opportunity to get to know industry experts and discuss in a closed setting procurement / commercial project on the horizon.

Event Format
The mission will consist of an evening reception on 20 January at the British Ambassador’s Residence, followed by a full day programme on the 21 January including a networking lunch and tabletop showcase of UK capabilities.
